If meditation interests you but you don’t know where to start this is exactly what you need:

It’s a meditation program you can use on your phone or computer.  It starts with a free 10-day program, just 10 minutes a day, and then if you want to continue, it’s a monthly membership fee; it’s like a gym membership for your mind.

I’ve been using it for the last month and have found it very helpful. It gets you grounded, reduces stress and increases mindfulness throughout the day.  After you’ve done the basic training you can choose meditation packs that focused on specific areas like health, sports, relationships, performance, etc.

Hope you are well and settling in to this lovely balmy Fall.

I have never taken any sort of weight-loss supplement but was intrigued by this natural fruit extract; intrigued enough that I actually went out and bought the stuff. I’ve been taking it for a couple of weeks now and am surprised to find that I have actually felt a decrease in my appetite.

As I have written about it from time to time on my blog, I believe long-lasting weight-loss comes from eating healthy nutritious food, watching your portions and exercising everyday, adding this natural supplement to your diet can’t hurt.

I love Oprah.  She recently ended “The Oprah Winfrey Show” show after 25 years and started her own channel called OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).  I have subscribed to it ($2.95 a month with Shaw) and have intermittently watched a few shows (I watch very little TV).  Love it so far.  I have found some of the shows that she has created to be very meaningful. (Finding Sarah, Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neils)

She has just started a new show of her own called “Oprah’s Life Class”, it premiered last night.  It is on five days a week, at 5pm and 10pm, followed by a live  webcast at 6pm.  There is also an on-line workbook.  I wanted to tell you about it because I found it to be very meaningful and urge you to watch it.  It’s along the same lines as Eckhardt Tolle and positive thinking stuff I’ve written about before.  Oprah has a great skill of presenting these things in a simple yet profound way.  Yesterday’s class was “The False Power of the Ego”, you can learn more about it here.  Tonight’s class is “Letting Go of Anger”.
