I thought this video was worth sharing.

William, Harry and Kate talk about the importance communication. Quite something for members of the Royal Family to be talking about this! They talk about how it can be difficult and uncomfortable to start certain conversations but how it’s important to not bottle up our feelings as it can have a detrimental effect on our mental health (I would say physical health too). These conversations can be a form of medicine. It’s so true isn’t it!? Feels so good to clear the air if something is bothering us.

I’d also add that exercise is a form of medicine. And not only physically but also mentally. You always feel better after exercising or a good talk!

Take a moment to consider how you might apply this to your life.

If meditation interests you but you don’t know where to start this is exactly what you need:

It’s a meditation program you can use on your phone or computer.  It starts with a free 10-day program, just 10 minutes a day, and then if you want to continue, it’s a monthly membership fee; it’s like a gym membership for your mind.

I’ve been using it for the last month and have found it very helpful. It gets you grounded, reduces stress and increases mindfulness throughout the day.  After you’ve done the basic training you can choose meditation packs that focused on specific areas like health, sports, relationships, performance, etc.

Seriously people, the power of exercise is truly incredible.

Although the main reason people exercise is to look good, there are many other benefits; some can be extreme, like this one:

Our bodies are made to move and they work best when they move a lot.  As a society in general, we tend to spend a lot of time inactive: sitting at the computer, driving, watching TV, etc. This inactivity is the hardest on our bodies. For instance, notice how stiff you feel after sitting on a long flight!

People tend to think they don’t have time to exercise but if you consider all the time that is spent dealing with ailments, that time could be much better spent pro-actively taking care of yourself. Of course always check with your doctor to get the go ahead before you start an exercise program.

Consider the effect regular exercise could have on your life and your health.

If you  attend my classes you know my motto: “Yes I can!”.  We use it in class anytime we feel like we want to give up. I also encourage you to use it in your own life whenever you feel like you want to give up.

I love to hear, “Ali I thought of you the other day when blah blah blah…. so I just said to myself, “Yes I can!” and I made it through. I love to hear that it helps you as much as it helps me!

Well this video takes it to a whole other level. If you have ever felt you can’t accomplish something, then let this will inspire you to really know that “Yes I can!”.

 It’s so incredible, I hope you will watch.
